Julie Shumate, second-year HACC student, goes for a three-pointer as teammate Kimberly Nesmith jockeys for position during the Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association championship today against Potomac State College in Keyser, W. Va.

The HACC Lady Hawks came up short losing 88-70 in the state final.

“Both teams played hard,” said Michele Kieff, coach of the Lady Hawks. “Sami Cox and Lakisha Lemon were our high scorers at 19 points each. It was a tough game.  Despite being down, we never gave up. We played to the end."
