CHAMBERSBURG – HACC invites students and the public who use English as a second language (ESL) to an information session 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, at the Chambersburg Area Senior High School, 511 S. Sixth St.
High school students, their parents and others who are thinking about college but need instruction in English for their coursework can find answers with HACC at Chambersburg Area Senior High School and Franklin County Career and Technology Center.
College representatives also will be on hand to explain the ESL program, as well as enrollment and financial aid. Students who have completed ESL classes will be available to offer their experience. Advisers will answer questions or can help with next steps.
A variety of HACC program and general education required courses are offered in Chambersburg for the majority of the college's nearly 200 credit, two-year associate and transfer degrees, certificates and diplomas to prepare graduates with the education and skills needed to compete in today's workforce.
HACC's fall semester begins Monday, Aug. 20, with classes available during the day and evening. Registration for fall classes is under way.
HACC also has a Student Services Office in the high school where students can enroll, take placement tests and get advising services.
