HARRISBURG – The annual Honors Exhibit featuring the best work of HACC art students will be on display Wednesday, April 11, to Friday, May 4, in the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery on HACC’s Harrisburg Campus. Many of the works are for sale.
The first two weeks of the show, April 11-20, will be comprised of photography, computer art, three-dimensional design, two-dimensional design, illustration and printmaking. A reception for the artists in this segment will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, April 19.
The second two weeks, April 25-May 4, includes graphic design, drawing, painting, glass, ceramics and jewelry. A reception for the artists in the second segment will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, May 3. Awards will be presented during the receptions.
As many as 1,000 works were submitted by students for consideration in the show. Art faculty carefully juried the submissions and selected the best 100 works for the Honors Exhibit.
HACC has an active art department with about 400 art majors and a large number of non-majors.
