HACC’s Early College Academy offers advantages to seniors
March 22, 2012

HARRISBURG – High school and home school seniors can get a jump on college with HACC’s Early College Academy this fall.
“The new concurrent enrollment program offers students the opportunity to explore a career path and develop college readiness while earning credits toward a college degree,” said Joanna Stoms, college in the high school coordinator at HACC’s Harrisburg Campus.
Students who enroll in the academy will attend classes on HACC’s Harrisburg Campus from noon-3 Monday-Friday in one of three options -- business, healthcare or exploratory. They will take one general education course and one career path course per semester, as well as participate in a college readiness seminar.
The cost of tuition is HACC’s prevailing rate. Financial assistance is available to qualified students.
Interested rising seniors in Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry counties are encouraged to enroll. Applications are being accepted now through May 4.
