HACC, Green Center of Central Pennsylvania are co-sponsors of April 20 film fest

HARRISBURG – “Home,” the film directed by photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand and narrated by actress Glenn Close, is the highlight of Slow Food Harrisburg’s third annual film fest from 5:30-9 p.m. Friday, April 20, at HACC’s Midtown 2, 1500 N. Third St.
The fest includes an optional pasta buffet dinner at 5:30 p.m., film screening at 6:30 p.m. including vintage short “Food Will Win the War,” and a reception and post-film dialog at 8 p.m.
Although “Home” was first released on World Environment Day 2009, this will be the first time it will be screened in Pennsylvania. The film is a visually stunning, spectacular voyage around the world that spans 54 countries and 120 locations, all seen from the air.
The dinner, which costs $9.95 plus tax and tip, will be held at Cribari Ristorante, 263 Reily Street, across the street from Midtown 2. Call 412-0550 to make reservations.

The reception, which includes a post-film dialog led by Don Brown, associate professor of environmental ethics, science and law at Penn State, will be held across the street at the Green Center of Central Pennsylvania. There is no charge for the reception, but donations for Slow Food Harrisburg initiatives will be accepted.
Co-sponsors of the film fest are HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, and the Green Center.
