HARRISBURG, Pa. – HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, and the HACC Foundation have introduced a new online  process for HACC students to apply for HACC Foundation scholarships.

Now, students can simply go online to complete a  scholarship application. The new system then automatically matches students’ information with the criteria of the scholarships for which they qualify.
The new online process takes students only 15 minutes to complete and replaces the manual process used in the past.

In fiscal year 2011-12 alone, the HACC Foundation contributed close to $2.2 million to the College in scholarships, special programs and facilities and provided financial assistance to 1,067 students.

“We are so excited to offer this new and improved scholarship application process to HACC students,” said Linnie S. Carter, Ph.D., APR, vice president of college advancement at HACC, and executive director of the HACC Foundation. “With the new online application, we are hoping that even more students will apply for and receive scholarships.”
