Oct. 14, 2013
HARRISBURG, Pa.  – Virtual learning at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, is hosting information sessions for prospective students to learn more about online education.

The information session webinars are scheduled for Monday, Oct. 21, at 6 p.m.; Wednesday, Nov. 20, at noon; and Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 6 p.m. To register, visit www.hacc.edu/virtual.

Each webinar will cover online admission, learning format, self-assessment, orientation and a sample course tour.

HACC’s virtual learning courses follow the normal semester schedule, and most have specific due dates for assignments, but allow students the freedom to access the course when it is convenient for them. Successful online students are self-motivated and possess the self-discipline needed to manage their time effectively. Some online courses do require visits to one of HACC’s campuses for orientation, proctored exams or to complete labs.

HACC’s virtual learning offers degrees in business communications, philosophy, social sciences, marketing, general studies, technology studies and more.
