Trustee officers also elected

HARRISBURG, Pa. – HACC Board of Trustees Chair Timothy L. Sandoe and members Robert J. Phillips and Jeffrey A. Shaffer recently were reappointed to six-year terms. Each was appointed to the Board in 2005.

Phillips of Lebanon is owner of Robert J. Phillips Insurance Agency, Inc. in Lebanon. He is serving his first term as Lebanon County Commissioner and is vice chair of the board. He is a member of the board of the Francis J. Dixon Foundation and is chairman of the Volunteers in Medicine board of directors.

Phillips is the former chairman of the Good Samaritan Health System board of directors. He is also past president of the Community of Lebanon Association, the Lebanon School District Board of Directors, the Lions Club and United Way, and formerly served on the board of the Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13. He is a member of the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Sandoe, who has been chair of the HACC Board of Trustees since July 2011, is senior vice president, retail banking risk management director at Fulton Financial Corporation. The Schaefferstown resident also supports the Horse Happy 4-H Club of Lebanon County.

Sandoe is former chair of the HACC Lebanon Campus and HACC Lancaster Campus advisory committees, served on the Lebanon Career and Tech Center Strategic Planning Committee and was chair of the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Education Committee. He has a bachelor’s degree in education from East Stroudsburg University.

HACC alumnus Shaffer of Gettysburg is a real estate broker with RE/MAX of Gettysburg. Shaffer serves on the HACC Gettysburg Campus Advisory Committee and is active in the American Heart Association and Upper Adams Lions Club. He has been a trustee since 2005.

In addition to Sandoe, Board of Trustees officers elected for 2013-14 were Thomas B. Richey, vice chair; Toni H. Sharp, secretary; Frank A. Conte, treasurer; Peter C. Wambach, assistant secretary, and Nailah I. Rogers, assistant treasurer.
