HARRISBURG –Imago Theatre’s “ZooZoo,” featuring a collection of theatrical penguins, anteaters, hippos and more, will perform at Live at Rose Lehrman on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.

“ZooZoo” is kid-captivating, creature-centric and a “combination of a zoo and a circus, with some silent theater, set to an original score,” said Jerry Mouawad, co-founder of Imago Theatre.

“If you’re looking for a show that will delight the young at heart, aged 3 to 300, you can’t do better than Imago Theatre’s ‘ZooZoo,” said Richard Wattenberg of Oregonian.

Both presentations of “ZooZoo” will feature a pre-show performance by Floyd “SuperReader” Stokes at 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., temporary glitter tattoos from Fairy Tale Boutique and a live animal display from Lake Tobias Wildlife Park. The animal-themed party continues after the show with cookies, lemonade and a free book for each child.

Imago Theatre was founded in 1979 by Mouawad and Carol Triffle, and its original productions have toured internationally for more than 20 years. The theatre has been honored for its masked theatre pieces that appeal to a wide age range, and their show “Frogz,” had two successful Broadway runs in 2000 and 2002.

Show tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for students. To order tickets, call 717-231-ROSE (7673) or go to www.LiveatRoseLehrman.org. Seating for the 1:30 p.m. show is limited.
