GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The fifth-annual Legislative Roundtable was held at the Gettysburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, on Thursday, April 10.

Elected officials Sen. Rich Alloway (R-33), state Rep. Dan Moul (R-Adams/Franklin), state Rep. Will Tallman (R-Adams/York) and Adams County Commissioner Randy Phiel, fielded questions from Elizabeth Hottenstein, HACC student moderator and Student Government Association (SGA) vice president.

“This was my first experience both mediating an event, as well as attending the Legislative Roundtable.  I found it very interesting and enjoyed being able to follow-up a panelist’s response with another question or request for clarification. As a student, I considered how the questions/answers related to me and to HACC.  The roundtable definitely piqued my political interests,” said Hottenstein.

HACC students composed a series of 11 questions ranging from “What efforts are being made to attract and enhance business expansion in Adams County that requires skilled labor?” to “Why doesn’t Pennsylvania increase higher education funding?”

Elected officials responded to each of the questions and provided insight for HACC students.
