Harrisburg, Pa. – HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, is gearing up to welcome current and new students to its five campuses. If students are not registered for fall classes, it’s not too late. HACC is extending its normal business hours and hosting Campus Visit Days in August.

During the extended hours, individuals can:

  • Learn about HACC’s admissions process
  • Receive details on how to enroll
  • Gain information about the wide variety of academic programs offered
  • Apply for admission
  • Meet with an advisor to assist the student in making appropriate class choices and career planning
  • Schedule a time to take the placement test

During the weeks of Aug. 4 (Monday-Thursday), Aug. 11 and Aug. 19, HACC’s welcome centers, academic advising, placement testing and financial aid offices at the five campuses will be open from 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Other extended office hours are:

  • Friday, Aug. 8, 2014: 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

If students are interested in picking up textbooks, HACC’s Harrisburg Campus bookstore will be open from noon-4 p.m. on Aug. 17. For additional hours, visit http://bookstore.hacc.edu/harrisburg/.

Additionally, HACC is hosting two Campus Visit Days in August. Students interested in attending a Campus Visit Day can register online to:

  • Tour one of HACC’s five campuses
  • Learn about the admissions process
  • Apply for admission
  • Receive details on how to enroll
  • Gain information about the wide variety of academic programs offered
  • Learn about financial aid options – including scholarship opportunities

The Campus Visit Day for Health Career Programs is on Aug. 7, 2014, at 6 p.m., and the Campus Visit Day for All Programs is on Aug. 11, 2014, at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
