HARRISBURG, Pa. – The HACC Foundation, a nonprofit organization that works to raise private contributions in support of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, has approved $1,067,664 in funding for various projects. This funding is made possible through generous contributions from individual and organizational donors.“There is no greater investment than in people,” said Linnie S. Carter, Ph.D., APR, vice president of college advancement at HACC and executive director of the HACC Foundation. “We are grateful to our donors who selflessly give to provide opportunities for our students to grow and thrive in a competitive marketplace. A gift to the HACC Foundation is truly an investment in the future of our students.”
The funding from the HACC Foundation will be used to:

The funds will be used to create a welcoming lobby area and entrance for current and potential students, redesign department offices to create a cohesive flow for students to easily transition to and from the services they need and create an updated office space that fully utilizes available space. | $470,000 |

The funds will be used to purchase computer server hardware suitable for virtualization, a technology that allows running multiple virtual machines on a single piece of hardware. The funds will be used for a Professional Development Day that provides students with an opportunity to reflect on professional life as a nurse, improve selected skills and knowledge and give consideration to the importance of stress management and coping with the high stress of the program. |

About the HACC Foundation
The HACC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was established in 1985 to raise private and corporate revenues in support of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College. In fiscal year 2013-14 alone, the HACC Foundation contributed close to $2.2 million to the College in scholarships, special programs and facilities and provided financial assistance to 1,345 students.
Contributions to the HACC Foundation are accepted in the form of unrestricted gifts to augment endowed funds, contributions to existing or new scholarship programs or award funds, support for academic and workforce programs, sponsorship of special events and cultural programs and contributions made in honor or in memory of individuals.
