Jan. 13, 2014
HARRISBURG, Pa. – Students interested in learning about career opportunities in engineering and technology are invited to Engineering Career Day on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at HACC’s Midtown 2, 1500 N. Third St.

High school students and prospective students are encouraged to attend this free event, offered by HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College. If needed, a snow make-up day will be Thursday, Feb. 27, from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

“This information session is an excellent opportunity for people considering the engineering field to learn from industry leaders and to ask questions of HACC’s own engineering and technology students,” said Kim Ketelsleger, professor of engineering and engineering technology. “There are numerous jobs available in this growing field. Speakers at the event will answer questions about educational and vocational training requirements.”

The half-day event will offer three informative sessions about mechanical, civil, chemical, computer and environmental engineering, as well as nanofabrication. Lunch will be provided for pre-registered participants following the sessions.

Those interested should register by Jan. 31 by contacting Doniele Leggs at 717-736-4274 or dmleggs@hacc.edu.
