HARRISBURG – Youngsters ages 7-12 can experience the exciting world of green technology during a Discovery Day program at HACC’s Midtown 2 at 1500 N. Third St. in Harrisburg.

“Discover Green Technology” will be offered from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 22, 2014.  The cost per child is $49. Participants will learn first-hand about opportunities in the green technology field and explore engineering with fun, interactive activities.

Students who sign up for “Discover Green Technology” will be exposed to numerous methods of green energy including pedal, wind, water and solar power. Water conservation will be discussed and students will complete a hands-on experiment with desalination. Waste reduction will also be addressed.

To register, call HACC at 717-780-2414 or go to the noncredit registration office in the Welcome Center on the second floor of the Cooper Student Center on the Harrisburg Campus on One HACC Drive.
