LEBANON, Pa. – Starting this fall, high school juniors and seniors have an opportunity to “tune up” their testing skills at HACC’s Lebanon Campus.

When a student enrolls at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, a placement test is required to assist the College with determining what level of classes will best meet the student’s needs. During the placement test, students are tested in reading, writing and math skills.

Prior to taking the placement test at HACC, students are encouraged to study and prepare. To assist students with the preparation, HACC’s Lebanon Campus is offering FREE one-hour sessions for high school juniors and seniors to meet with the campus’s staff. During the session, students will review test-taking strategies, learn what resources are available to study, including sample practice questions similar to those on the test, and receive information to schedule the placement test.

Like any test, preparation is important. It helps students feel more confident and know what to expect when they’re ready to take the test.

Sessions can be scheduled by contacting HACC’s Lebanon Campus at 717-270-6337. For more information about placement testing at HACC, visit http://www.hacc.edu/NewStudents/PlacementTesting/index.cfm. Students can still register for classes that start later in the fall semester. Visit www.hacc.edu/nottoolate to learn more.
