HARRISBURG, Pa. – Hubbard Street Dance Chicago brings Hubbard Street 2 (HS2), a powerful eight-member contemporary dance ensemble, to Live at Rose Lehrman on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at 8 p.m. in the Rose Lehrman Arts Center on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.

Known for athleticism and fearless dancing, HS2 has toured nationally and internationally, performing for more than 60,000 annually. Dancers from around the world – ages 18 to 25 – audition for HS2. After their time with the company, dancers will move on to the parent company, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, or to other high-profile contemporary dance companies.

The HS2 program for Live at Rose Lehrman will include “Strides,” choreographed by Norbert De La Cruz III,  and “By the skin of my teeth,” choreographed by Gregory Dolbashian. Both pieces were created through the 2012 National Choreographic Competition, a program of Hubbard Street's Choreographic Development Initiative.
