HACC’s Art Discipline Receives Accreditation
The National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) recently accredited HACC’s art discipline, acknowledging through peer review that HACC’s art programs meet established standards governing faculty, facilities and curriculum.

NASAD, founded in 1944, establishes standards for undergraduate and graduate degrees in art and design. To receive accreditation, HACC’s full-time art faculty led an effort that included a self-study in 2010 and several reviews, leading up to accreditation in June 2014. There are approximately 325 accredited institutions in the U.S., with only 12 community colleges on the list.

HACC offers associate degrees and certificate programs in art and design, photography and graphic design.
