Celebrate Celtic Christmas Charm at HACC's Live at Rose Lehrman
Nov. 6, 2015
HARRISBURG, Pa. – Native Irish storyteller Tomáseen Foley and his ensemble of world-class Celtic musicians and traditional Irish dancers and singers will bring the warmth of “A Celtic Christmas” to Live at Rose Lehrman on Dec. 2, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. in the Rose Lehrman Arts Center on HACC’s Harrisburg Campus.

Through the gifts of story, song, music and dance, “A Celtic Christmas” will bring to life a spirited 1950s recreation of a night before Christmas in rural West Ireland. Before the advent of the motorcar, television or telephone, neighbors would gather at farmhouses with their fiddles, uilleann pipes, guitars, whistles, flutes, accordions and Celtic drums to play the traditional Irish Christmas songs.

As a celebration of home, place and community, Foley invites audiences – young and old – to become “neighbors” within the remote Irish parish and enjoy the spirit and joy of Christmas.

The show will feature the internationally acclaimed talents of William Coulter, Brian Bigley, Edwin Huizinga and Nuala Kennedy. The performance will also feature the local talent of the McGinley Irish dancers.

Sponsors include the HACC Foundation, HACC’s Student Government Association and Oxford Hall. The media sponsor is abc27.

Limited seating is available. Tickets are $29 or $38 depending on location, and can be purchased online at www.LiveatRoseLehrman.org. For more information, call 717-231-ROSE (7673).
