Harrisburg, Pa. – The 2015-19 Strategic Plan for HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, was approved Nov. 10, 2015, by HACC’s Board of Trustees. The strategic plan includes the College’s vision statement, mission statement, goals and core values.

The goals are:
  1. Advance Academic Excellence
  2. Foster Student Success
  3. Strengthen Institutional Sustainability
  4. Instill Inclusivity

With 15 subgoals and 53 objectives, the comprehensive strategic plan is designed to enhance collaboration across units and campuses. The College’s Strategic Planning Committee, which drafted the plan, includes members from faculty, classified and professional staff, administrators, students and senior leadership.

The HACC community is encouraged to work together at all levels to embrace this plan and make it part of our everyday culture. In the next few weeks, students and employees will be asked to participate by voting on an official name for the strategic plan.

“This strategic plan is owned by all of us because the work we do in changing lives and destinies is very important. Therefore, it is important for us to infuse the 2015-19 Strategic Plan into the HACC culture so that we can continue to make a meaningful difference in our communities,” said HACC President John J. “Ski” Sygielski, Ed.D.
