Oct. 16, 2017
HARRISBURG, Pa. – HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, began offering evening classes at 152 E. Market St., Lewistown, Pennsylvania, in August 2017. HACC offers a selection of general education classes at the new location in Lewistown that will meet requirements for a variety of HACC programs and also seamlessly transfer into the Geisinger Lewistown Hospital School of Nursing program.

“HACC is happy to partner with the Geisinger Lewistown Hospital School of Nursing to fill a need in the community,” said Jennie Baar, Harrisburg Campus dean of academic affairs. “Our goal is to grow the physical classroom offerings in Lewistown. We want to continue giving residents a convenient opportunity to pursue their education with HACC regardless of their program interest.”

Residents of Mifflin, Juniata, Huntingdon and Centre counties have the convenience of general education classes as well as HACC’s full complement of online classes.

A free information session with HACC will be held Nov. 1, 2017, from 6-7:30 p.m. at 152 E. Market St., Suite 201. HACC employees will discuss options for taking classes in the traditional classroom, online through HACC’s Virtual Learning or both, as well as financial aid, scholarships and transferability.
