HARRISBURG, Pa. – The HACC Foundation, a nonprofit educational trust established to raise private and corporate revenues in support of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, welcomed six new board members to the HACC Foundation Board.
 
Joseph Alsberry worked in employment and workforce development programs for more than 40 years and retired as the executive vice president of South Central PA Works. The HACC alumnus serves on many organizations, including the HACC Alumni Council as treasurer. He holds an associate degree in accounting from HACC and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from Howard University.
 
Timothy DeFoor, the Dauphin County controller, brings experience in auditing and assuring compliance. He is a retired special agent with Pennsylvania’s Office of Attorney General. DeFoor earned his associate degree in paralegal studies from HACC, bachelor’s degree in social sciences from University of Pittsburgh and master’s degree in project management from Harrisburg University of Science and Technology.
 
Jasmyne King-Smith is the coordinator for Parent Involvement and Homeless Student Project for the School District of Lancaster. She coordinates and implements research-based strategies for schools and district involvement programs to engage parents in improving student achievements. She received a bachelor’s degree in speech communications and public relations and a master’s degree in English from Millersville University.
 
Erica Koser is an associate with McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC. Prior to joining the law firm, she served as policy director for the Pennsylvania Department of Education. She has served in various leadership roles, including the Junior League of Harrisburg and the Law Association for Women at George Washington University Law School. Koser received bachelor’s degrees in political science and elementary education from Shippensburg University. She also is a graduate of George Washington University Law School.
 
Ronald Rebuck, director of HACC’s Harrisburg Campus Nursing Program, earned his associate degree in nursing from HACC in 1980. Attending HACC as a student helped him decide that he wanted to be a nurse educator at the College. More than 30 years later, he’s still guiding students. Rebuck also serves on various boards and associations, including Pennsylvania Colleges of Associate Degree Nursing Directors and Pennsylvania State Nurses Association. Following his schooling at HACC, he earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing from York College of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in psychiatric and mental health from the University of Maryland.

Mark Whitmoyer, founder of Conservation Concepts, Inc., an energy conservation and solar energy firm, serves as treasurer of the HACC’s Board of Trustees and, as such, is an ex-officio member of the HACC Foundation Board. He brings many years of experience with education and non-profit organizations, including his role as founding member of S.H.A.R.E. (Sandy Hollow Arts and Recreation for the Environment).
