HARRISBURG, Pa. – The men’s golf team at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, will continue its successful season by competing in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Championship Tournament in Chautauqua, New York, June 5-9, 2017. This is the first time in the College’s history the golf team has qualified to compete at the national event.
 
The team secured a spot after winning the NJCAA Region XIX Championship Tournament last month. Last fall, the team won the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Title.
 
HACC Hawks golfer Kent Umberger was the first place medalist in the Region XIX event, followed by teammates Geoff Warke in third place, Stephen Berger in ninth place and Justin Fantom in twelfth place.
