Institutions partner to educate HACC students and alumni about bachelor degree opportunities
Nov. 27, 2018
HARRISBURG, Pa. – HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, and Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg continue a four-year partnership by hosting information sessions on Nov. 28 and Dec. 7, 2018. The sessions will focus on a bachelor’s degree option available for HACC students and alumni.

Through the partnership, HACC graduates who complete an associate degree program in career-focused majors such as computer information systems, HVAC and industrial technology can easily transfer their 60 credits to Bloomsburg University to complete a Bachelor of Applied Science in Technical Leadership without leaving Harrisburg.

Most of the classes are held online and in the evenings to allow more flexibility for working students. Classes that must be completed in-person are held at the Dixon University Center and at HACC’s Harrisburg Campus. Part-time and full-time options are available.

“The evolving global economy requires organizations to work together in face-to-face and online situations, and this partnership continues to support this philosophy. HACC continues to partner with Bloomsburg University to encourage our HACC alumni and current students to advance in their fields and prepare to become leaders,” said Kathleen T. Doherty, Ph.D., associate provost at HACC.

Interested students are encouraged to attend an information session on Nov. 28 or Dec. 7. Both sessions will be held from 3-6 p.m. in Whitaker Hall, Room 214 on HACC’s Harrisburg Campus.
