Current news from HACC, April 25, 2018
April 25, 2018
HARRISBURG, Pa. – In an effort to transform lives and change futures for its students, HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, held its 2018 Day of Giving on April 18, 2018.

The fundraising event was successful and – with your help – raised more than $59,000. Final totals are still being calculated.

The funds raised from the Day of Giving support the College’s funds for excellence. Gifts to the funds for excellence give the College the capacity to meet pressing needs as they arise, aid students with housing and food insecurities, launch special initiatives and capitalize on new opportunities to strengthen student programs.

The Day of Giving website will be updated throughout April, and individuals are encouraged to visit the site to track HACC’s continued fundraising progress.

HACC is YOUR community college, and we are grateful for the support of the community and our generous sponsors, WHTM abc27, Capital BlueCross and more.

Day of Giving photos and videos from across the College’s five campuses can be found at hacc.edu/HeartHACC.

Dauphin County Commissioners Support Live at Rose Lehrman
HARRISBURG, Pa. – A $5,000 grant from Dauphin County Commissioners Jeff Haste, Mike Pries and George P. Hartwick III provides support for the Live at Rose Lehrman (LARL) Artist Series in 2018.

For 42 years, the LARL Artist Series and the Rose Lehrman Arts Center on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, have served the College and the Central Pennsylvania region as a resource for cultural and artistic expression. Each year, the LARL series presents a variety of distinctive, diverse, high-quality and professional offerings of live dance, music and theatre events that bring audiences to the campus.

This funding will help to bring new patrons to the Rose Lehrman Arts Center by attracting audience members from outside of south-central Pennsylvania.

HACC and the HACC Foundation express thanks for the funding from the Dauphin County Commissioners to support access to the arts in the Harrisburg community and beyond.
