More Than 900 Students Graduate from HACC in Fall 2018
HARRISBURG, Pa. – More than 900 students at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, completed their associate degrees, certificates or diplomas during the fall 2018 term.

Graduates of all ages and backgrounds, including a grandmother, married couple and a student from China, were celebrated during Commencement on Dec. 18, 2018, at the Giant Center in Hershey.

During the ceremony, faculty speaker Rosalina Beard, shared her speech in Spanish and English and said, “As you leave HACC, I encourage you to take concrete actions to embrace diversity. Learn a second language. Get to know your neighbors and colleagues. Find out how you are different, and how you are the same.”

Following Beard, student speaker Alexa Taylor Groft challenged her fellow graduates to “use the power of education to make your mark on this world! The success you celebrate here tonight is not final, let it be the spark that ignites a flame to shine forever and light up the world.”

The full list of graduates is available, as well as photos of graduates and the ceremony.
