Internationally Known Artist to Virtually Display Ceramic Sculptures at HACC
HARRISBURG, Pa. – The ceramic sculptures of Chuck Johnson, an internationally known artist, will be displayed in a virtual art exhibit curated by the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, from Aug. 31-Oct. 1, 2020.
In an online format, attendees can view Johnson’s work focusing on narrative-stacked forms made of unglazed clay in which he explores issues of environmental sustainability and the impact of human activities on endangered species. Using Zoom, Johnson will virtually discuss his work on Oct. 1 at 5:30 p.m. To learn how to join the lecture, please visit the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery website. The lecture and exhibit are free and open to the public.
Johnson earned a Bachelor of Art in studio art from the University of Wisconsin in Whitewater, Wisconsin, and a Master of Fine Art in ceramics from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. Currently, Johnson is an associate professor of ceramics at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
The gallery received state arts funding support through a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and from the National Endowment for the Arts.

2018-19 Part-time Dean’s List Announced
HARRISBURG, Pa. – HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, named 2,184 part-time students to the dean’s list for the 2018-19 academic year.
The 2018-19 part-time dean’s list recognizes eligible part-time students who have achieved the academic distinction of 3.25 GPA or higher in college-level classes, have completed minimum of 12 college-level credits during the year and have not been full-time in either the fall or spring terms.
The students are listed by county and according to hometown mailing address. The complete list can be viewed here.

Internationally Known Artist to Virtually Display Ceramic Sculptures at HACC
