COVERAGE: | The public is invited to join the HACC community in celebrating the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. at the following events. I’ve Been to the Mountain Jan. 19, 2022, at noon HACC students will share their “mountaintop experiences” at the College, how Martin Luther King Jr.’s life and message have impacted them and how they plan to impact those around them. Zoom link: https://hacc.zoom.us/j/93655745274 MLK and The Strength of Shared Dreams Jan. 20, 2022, from noon-1 p.m. Through character portrayal and video, “Shared Dreams” illustrates the last third of Martin Luther King Jr.’s life. It depicts how his “Poor People’s Campaign” was a turning point in intersectional advocacy when a broad cross section of cultural groups came together to fight against poverty. The program is presented by Dialogues on Diversity, an award-winning social justice and diversity theater company.
