HARRISBURG, Pa. - HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, recently finalized a three-year lease agreement with Lock Haven University (LHU). Courses in Lock Haven University’s graduate-level Physician Assistant Program are now offered at HACC’s Harrisburg Campus

The partnership aligns with HACC’s strategic commitment to institutional sustainability and benefits both institutions as well as healthcare providers in the commonwealth’s capital and beyond.

Representatives from HACC and Lock Haven University convened virtually on Feb. 15 to celebrate the partnership.

John J. “Ski” Sygielski, MBA, Ed.D., HACC’s president and CEO, said, “As we adjust to the changing landscape of higher education throughout Pennsylvania, HACC is delighted to provide Lock Haven University facilities and other College resources to host their well-respected Physician Assistant Program in Central Pennsylvania. We are hopeful that this will be the beginning of a long-term partnership with LHU and other PASSHE institutions.”

“The opportunity to partner with HACC and all our community colleges will allow local students a path to career success,” said Bashar W. Hanna, Lock Haven University interim president. “Many thanks to Dr. Sygielski and everyone at LHU for working together for the benefit of our students.”
