The Lebanon Campus of HACC is offering a comprehensive series of English as a Second Language (ESL) courses, presented in four levels throughout the academic year. The first level will begin on the first day of HACC's fall semester, Monday, August 21.

Since the ESL program's inception a year ago, the Lebanon Campus has opened doors for a large number of people who now have structured access to higher education available to them. "It's truly a chance to give students confidence and training in their English skills, so they can move into a job or continue their study at HACC," says Barbara Grandia, counselor for the Lebanon Campus. "There also are financial aid opportunities remaining yet-it's never too late to investigate financial possibilities."

Students can take up to four levels of classes. Level I begins August 22 and continues to October 13, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5-6:30pm, and Saturday mornings 9:15am-noon. Level II is October 17 through December 8, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5-6:30pm and Saturday mornings 9:15am-noon. Levels III and IV are scheduled for the spring 2001 semester. On-site child care is available during all of these sessions.
