Maida Connor, Executive Director of the Harrisburg Area Community College Foundation, was recently appointed to a two-year term as the Regional Director of Region 3 for the Council for Resource Development (CRD). CRD is a national organization comprised of ten regions. This national organization educates and advocates for community college leaders dedicated to securing resources to increase the effectiveness of the institutions and students they serve.

As Regional Director, Ms. Connor will serve the eastern region comprised of Pennsylvania, Delaware, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia and be a member of the CRD Board of Directors. Her responsibilities will include planning, implementing, directing and evaluating membership programs, services, activities and initiatives that occur within her region.

The HACC Foundation is the college's not-for-profit foundation/educational trust that raises moneys in support of the college, facilities and scholarships for HACC students who attend any of the college's four campuses.

Currently, Ms. Connor has been instrumental in the Lancaster Campus Educational Investment Campaign. The goal of the campaign is to raise $2 million in support of the latest technology and equipment at HACC's new Lancaster Campus on Old Philadelphia Pike in Lancaster.
