Cheryl Batdorf, of Myerstown, was named associate dean of academic affairs at the Lebanon Campus of HACC, central Pennsylvania's community college.

Batdorf joins the Lebanon Campus from Lebanon Valley College where she served as the assistant director of the MBA Program. She was instrumental in creating the program's strong presence among many of central Pennsylvania's leading businesses.

"We are both fortunate and honored to have Cheryl Batdorf join our workforce at the Lebanon Campus. Cheryl's numerous lifelong contacts in Lebanon County, along with her many valuable experiences as an administrator familiar with higher education's faculty and student needs, made her an ideal candidate," said Ralph Dyer, interim dean for the Lebanon Campus. "All of us at HACC are looking forward to her leadership and her insights."

In her new role, Batdorf will continue many of the responsibilities of her previous position, including the hiring and evaluating of adjunct faculty, planning and scheduling courses and coordinating the advertising program.

"I am excited to be a part of HACC's Lebanon campus and to be a part of its strong presence in this market," said Batdorf. "My wish is to help continue its good reputation in the area for providing a quality education that leads both to personal and professional success stories."

Batdorf holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Shippensburg University, an MBA from Lebanon Valley College, and she is currently a candidate for her doctorate in business administration from Argosy University in Florida.
