Two years after beginning the General Motors' Automotive Service Educational Program (ASEP), 14 students from HACC, central Pennsylvania's community college, graduated last night trained for jobs with area dealerships.

Available only to students on HACC's Harrisburg Campus, ASEP prepares students as state-of-the-art technicians for General Motors' dealerships, using the latest diagnostic and servicing procedures and equipment.

The associate degree program, which is certified in the eight categories of automotive repair by the Automotive Service Excellence/National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation, has been helping dealerships train personnel since 1990.

The student's graduation ceremony was held at 5:30 p.m. in the C. Ted Lick Wildwood Conference Center on the Harrisburg Campus. Mario A. Leaman earned the Top Achievement/ Leadership award for an overall GPA of 3.78 and demonstrated leadership abilities.
