The Gettysburg Campus of Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) will offer a class on Photo Pages in Word, as well as other computer classes this summer.

Photo Pages in Word will be offered on Wednesday, June 16, from 6-9 p.m., at the Gettysburg Campus of HACC at 731 Old Harrisburg Road, Gettysburg.

Participants will learn to transform the photos they take with their digital camera (or scan from prints) into pages for their albums, complete with descriptions, or into letters or cards for their friends using Microsoft Word 2002.

Knowledge of opening and saving files is required.

Excel 1 will be offered Thursdays, June 24-July 8, from 9 a.m. to noon and again from 6-9 p.m., both at HACC's Gettysburg Campus.

Students will get started on Microsoft's powerful spreadsheet program, learning to create, modify, format and print spreadsheets. They will work with basic formulas and functions, and use styles and AutoFormats to enhance their worksheets.

The class also covers finding and replacing data, and using templates.

Windows Introduction or similar experience is a prerequisite.

Access I will be offered on Tuesdays, June 22-July 6 from 9 a.m. to noon and again from 6-9 p.m., both at HACC's Gettysburg Campus.

Participants will become familiar with Microsoft's widely used database program. First they will learn the concepts, then choose data type, set field properties and create tables to store data.

They will learn to use queries to extract information, forms to facilitate data entry and reports to publish data.

Windows Introduction or similar experience is a prerequisite.
