If you're one of the many women who are tired of paying for help with small home repairs, the Gettysburg Campus of Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) has just the course for you.

Home Repairs for Ms. Fix-It will be offered Mondays, Feb. 2-March 1, 7-9 p.m., at Emory H. Markle Intermediate School, 225 Bowman Road, Hanover. The four-session course will teach simple plumbing repairs such as replacing faucet washers, unstopping drains, changing a faucet, and stopping a running toilet.

Participants will learn how to change a light switch, install a dimmer switch, mount a ceiling fan, ground a plug, install ground fault interceptors, and trace circuits.

Odd jobs to be discussed will include plaster repairs, how to install deadbolts and doorknobs, dry wall repairs, how to find studs in walls, and what tools are good to have in a basic tool kit.

Registration for this class and information on many other community education, professional development, and workforce training classes is available in HACC's Spring 2004 Noncredit Course Schedule clicking on the Website address below or by calling (717) 338-1010.
