Windows XP Introduction will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays, Aug. 10-19 from 9 a.m.-noon. or 6-9 p.m. Daytime and evening classes will be held at the Gettysburg Campus of HACC, 731 Old Harrisburg Road, Gettysburg.

This is a must-take course that covers all the major Windows features. Emphasis is on file management, including creating folders, moving and copying files between folders and finding and organizing files. Working with floppy discs and using Windows accessories also will be covered. This course is strongly recommended as a prerequisite to any Windows-based application courses. Computer Basic Training or similar experience is a prerequisite.

Excel I will be offered on Wednesdays, Aug. 4-18, from 9 a.m.-noon or from 6-9 p.m. All classes will be held at the Gettysburg Campus of HACC, 731 Old Harrisburg Road, Gettysburg.

Designed to help students get started on Microsoft's powerful spreadsheet program, this course covers how to create, modify, format and print spreadsheets. Students will learn to work with basic formulas and functions and use styles and AutoFormats to enhance their worksheets. The course also covers finding and replacing data, and using templates. Windows Introduction or similar experience is a prerequisite.
