Maida Connor, of Aspers, executive director of The HACC Foundation and resource development, has recently earned professional accreditation as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).

CFRE International offers the only internationally recognized baseline professional credential for philanthropic fundraising executives.

"I believe the CFRE designation is a personal and professional achievement, which recognizes dedication to the fundraising profession, adherence to ethical and valid professional standards, as well as significant fundraising success," said Connor, who has worked for HACC, central Pennsylvania's community college, since 1997. "I am honored to join other CFRE members in promoting the profession of fundraising and the commitment to helping others through philanthropic work."

Connor, a fund raising professional since 1986, also has been appointed to the National Board of the Council of Resource Development (CRD) as the vice president for customized educational services. In this newly created volunteer role, she is responsible for designing and directing customized training offered by CRD to community colleges nationwide.

Connor holds a bachelor's degree from Providence College.
