Members of HACC's International Awareness Club will host "Buddhism: A Dynamic Humanism" on HACC's Harrisburg Campus, Wednesday, September 15, from 1 to 2 p.m. in Room 204 of the Cooper Student Center.

The student group is co-sponsoring the free introduction to Buddhism lecture with the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of Soka Gakkai International-USA (SGI-USA), an American Buddhist association that promotes world peace and individual happiness based on the teachings of the Nichiren school of Mahayana Buddhism.

The speakers participating in the event include SGI-USA members David Kasahara, of New York, who is a former vice president of the organization; Arlene Terras, PhD, of Philadelphia; Alison Hirsch, PhD, of Williamsport; and Lisa DeFelice, a Philadelphia youth leader.

According to the SGI-USA website, its members reflect a cross section of our diverse American society, representing a broad range of ethnic and social backgrounds.

Refreshments will follow the lecture. For more information on the lecture, contact HACC's international student office at 717.780-1101.
