Anyone with an interest in getting out of debt and creating wealth will find two great resources in classes offered by the Lancaster Campus of Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC).

Invest in Your Debt will be offered Thursday, March 4, from 6-9 p.m., and again on Sunday, April 18 from 1-4 p.m. This course will teach participants how to get completely out of debt, including their mortgage, and owe nothing to anyone - in as little as three to seven years. They'll also learn how to save over $100,000 in interest along the way.

Participants will learn specific powerful and proven strategies that work every single time. Discussions will focus on the road to financial independence with just participants' current income - no second job or living like a hermit.

Students are asked to bring a list of their debts with balances and monthly payments along with a calculator to class. They will develop their own debt elimination plan that can be implemented immediately into their lifestyle.

Spend Smart will be offered Thursday, March 18, from 6-9 p.m. This class is about creating wealth, even with no room in the budget! Participants will learn to capture more of their dollars by using a simple, unique "reverse budget" technique that plans their savings rather than tracking spending. The class will help participants find the "extra" money needed to get ahead. Whether they make $12,000 or $120,000, participants will learn to improve their financial situation without getting a raise.

The class will teach how to create a cash surplus, extra dollars in the pocket that grow every month, as well as how to keep dollars worth 40 to 80 percent more than the dollars they now earn.

Participants will learn to develop a personalized plan to save 10 to 40 percent on spending easily-without sacrificing quality of life. They will learn proven ways to save on insurance, groceries, automobiles, utilities, interest and more, and find an Accelerator Margin for eliminating debt.

Participants should bring a calculator. This is an educational program only. No financial planning, investment or insurance programs will be offered or sold now or in the future.
