Those with basic computer skills will find several non-credit classes to advance those skills at the Lancaster Campus of HACC, central Pennsylvania's community college.

Word, Part 2 will be offered on Thursdays, Aug. 5-19, from 6-9 p.m. This course covers intermediate skills such as creating and formatting tables, inserting section breaks, and working with multiple columns. Students will learn to create headers and footers, effectively use styles, and the use of graphics, charts and diagrams. Word, Part 1 or similar knowledge and experience is a prerequisite.

Excel, Part 2 will be offered on Tuesdays, Aug. 3-17, from 6-9 p.m. This course covers working with multiple worksheets and the use of more advanced functions, formatting and printing options. Students will learn to import and export data, protect workbook data, use AutoFilters, consolidate data, and save workbooks as Web pages. Excel Part 1 or similar knowledge and experience is a prerequisite.

Excel: Customization, Collaboration and Macros, Part 3 will be offered on Thursdays, Aug. 5-19, from 6-9 p.m. This course teaches students how to create custom toolbars and menus as well as templates, how to activate the tracked changes feature, how to accept and reject changes, how to record, run and edit macros, how to assign macros to menus and toolbars. Students also will learn to add "If&Then&Else" statements to macros, and watch expressions to debug macros. Excel Part 2 or similar knowledge and experience is a prerequisite.
