Those who want to learn more about wines or even professional bartending can find just the class this summer at the Lancaster Campus of Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC).

Summer Wines from around the World will be offered on Thursday, June 3, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Those who have tired of the same old beers and cocktails will learn how fruity reds and crisp clean white wines from around the world can make great cocktails.

Participants will find out how wine can be perfect for a deck or patio party. The class will look at wines that are made to be enjoyed as the weather heats up and outdoor dining becomes more enjoyable.

HACC's Professional Bartending program is designed to develop skills and competencies in the art of bartending and enhance employment in the food and beverage industry.

The program focuses on basic terminology, service standards, bartending service, product knowledge, legal aspects of selling alcohol, sales transactions and operations, and the art of mixology. Classes will be offered Mondays and Wednesdays, June 7 - 23, from 6-9 p.m.
