How to work and play well with others in today's multigenerational work environment can be a strain, especially if it's your job to resolve conflict among staff. Whether you are a supervisor or not, Understanding Workplace Behavior offered by the Gettysburg Campus of HACC will help you assess your own behavior preferences and learn how to successfully interact with other individuals.

The seminar is scheduled for Thursday, May 12, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Gettysburg Campus of HACC, 731 Old Harrisburg Road in Gettysburg. Cost is $209.

Collaborative leadership and effective human relationship management are two essential 21st century workplace skill sets. Understanding what drives our behavior and the behavior of others and how to successfully interact are powerful tools.

Participants will assess their personal pattern of behavior preferences using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, define 16 key patterns of behavior types and discuss how the patterns interact in the workplace, and define the four components of emotional intelligence and how emotional intelligence relates to conflict management.
