The Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies at HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, will offer a series of seminars specifically for those starting or already operating their own business in Lebanon County. Registration is underway for all sessions, and early registration is suggested.

Women's Marketplace in Lebanon County is a free program that provides individual counseling to women entrepreneurs who need start-up market research, a marketing plan or growth strategies. More women are starting businesses than at any time in U.S. history, but they generate far less revenue than their male counterparts. This program helps women plan to succeed. Counselors will be available by appointment at the Lebanon Campus of HACC. Information may be obtained or an appointment made by calling 717-221-1311. Entrepreneurship - Making the Right Choice will be offered at the Lebanon Campus of HACC, 735 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, Wednesday, Nov. 16, 6-8 p.m. Cost is $15.

This seminar will explore the right choices that lead to business success, including whether to start a business from scratch, buy an existing one or purchase a franchise. Participants will learn how to evaluate the feasibility of their business concept, and how the choice of different business types impacts the ability to generate revenues.

HACC's Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies at Three Penn Center, 349 Wiconisco Street, Harrisburg, also features a Business Start-up Center, which offers free counseling with business professionals. Staff can meet with clients under the Business Start-up Center in Lebanon as well by calling to schedule an appointment.

Other programs include a First Monday program offering basic business start-up information the first Monday of each month from 9-11 a.m.; the Create a Job program for those who have lost their jobs; a Rural Development Program; Veterans Program; and diploma, certificate and associate's degree programs.
