So, you figured out how to use your digital camera and how a Web site works? Now you are ready to learn digital imaging or create a simple Web site. Perhaps combine both to create your own Web site. To help make all this new technology easier to learn and manage there are noncredit community education classes at the Lancaster Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College.

Digital Imaging with Paint Shop Pro (Level 1) is a new community education course offered on three Mondays, Nov. 7, 14 and 21, 6-9 p.m. Cost is $175. This class will take students on a fascinating journey into the technological magic of 21st century digital manipulation.

Paint Shop Pro is a powerful easy-to-use graphics editor that is surprisingly affordable. Students will learn to master the fundamental tools and techniques to create beautiful and memorable images. They will learn to enhance scanned images and digital photos, restore and colorize old photographs, and apply the powerful special effects this program offers to create dramatic, stunning portraits and landscapes.

Front Page, Part 2 will be offered on Monday, Wednesday and Monday, Nov. 14, 16 and 21, 6-9 p.m. Cost is $199. This class will teach students how to design, build and manage Web sites; create frame-based web pages; incorporate media and functionality; use advanced features (such as reports, tasks and ActiveX components); and format text and Web pages with animation, styles, and style sheets. Front Page, Part I or similar experience is required.

Web Page Authoring Fundamentals will be offered on four Mondays, Nov. 28, Dec. 5, 12 and 19, 6-9 p.m. Cost is $259. After completing this course, students will be able to create simple Web pages containing text, graphics, hyperlinks, tables, forms and frames.
