For adults who may not have the time or money to embark on an Elderhostel-type experience, a unique one-day learning opportunity will be offered this spring at the Gettysburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College.

An Adult Living and Learning Seminar will be held on the Gettysburg Campus of HACC Tuesday, March 7, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $45 for the day that begins with a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. and includes three 1-1/2 hour sessions and buffet luncheon.

Registrants should pick a class for each session, including a second choice. Registration deadline is March 1. Session 1 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. includes nine sessions from which to choose, including Simplifying Stress for Seniors, Letters . . . We Get Letters, Learn How to Knit a Pot Holder, St. Francis of Assisi, Ten Books to Take to a Deserted Island, Hitler's Blueprint for a German Woman's Life, Qigong for Health, Internet Savvy for Seniors and What is Your Color Season?

Session 2 from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. includes Gentle Massage for Relaxation; Letters . . . We Get Letters; Learn How to Knit a Child's Hat; Introduction to Egyptian Mythology; How to Get Organized; A Day in My Life in 1940 Berlin; Acupuncture: How it Works, How it Cures; Self-Defense for Seniors; and What is Your Color Season?

Session 3 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. includes Journaling for Fun and Relaxation; Letters . . . We Get Letters; C. S. Lewis; Mamie Eisenhower; Hitler's Blueprint for a German Woman's Life; Self-Defense for Seniors; How to Create a Beautiful Bow; Sick Care vs. Health Care; and Living Life to the Fullest.
