Home and garden classes are just one category of community education classes available this spring at the Gettysburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College.

A class in how to Create A Fresh Flower Topiary Centerpiece will be offered at the Gettysburg Campus of HACC, 731 Old Harrisburg Road, on two Tuesdays, Feb. 14 and 21, 6:30-9 p.m. Cost is $39. This course is designed to teach various ways to create a topiary using natural and/or man-made materials.

During the first night, options for the container, pole, water-holding device, and embellishments will be covered. Participants will gain ideas for designing their own topiary and make a list of materials needed, as well as suggestions for obtaining them.

On the second night, they will use their materials to create their own beautiful topiary.

Registration and information for this and other community education, professional development, and workforce training classes is available in HACC's noncredit course schedule at the Web site below or by calling (717) 338-1010.
