HACC-Gettysburg Campus has announced the addition of new staff and faculty members this fall. Three new faculty appointments were announced by Shannon Harvey, associate dean of academic affairs.

"As our campus grows, we continue to add full time faculty members to strengthen our programs and courses," said Harvey. "Increasing our faculty helps us to maintain high academic standards, small class sizes, and individual attention to students."

Lisa Ward has been appointed as an instructor-nursing in HACC's registered nursing (RN) program at the Gettysburg Campus. She has a bachelor of science in nursing from College of Notre Dame in Baltimore and a master of science in nursing with a concentration in education and administration at Mountain State University in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Ward has teaching experience at Hagerstown Community College and Mountain State University, and she has eighteen years of experience as a hospital staff nurse and nursing supervisor.

Donneva Crowell is an assistant professor-English and will also serve as campus facilitator for the English department. Crowell holds a master of arts in English with composition and rhetoric emphasis from Texas Tech University. She has extensive experience with writing and editing, including eleven years as an English instructor at South Plains College. She has also taught high school advanced placement/dual credit and senior international baccalaureate English classes.

Irma Hunt is the interim director, library at HACC-Gettysburg. She earned a master of business administration from The American University and a master of library and information science from the University of Texas at Austin. Hunt most recently served as an adjunct reference librarian at HACC's Harrisburg Campus. She has previous experience as a senior information specialist/corporate librarian with Fannie Mae in Washington, D.C. and as a professor and librarian at various colleges and public libraries.

Angela Buchanan-Bloch has joined the student services staff at Gettysburg Campus. Buchanan-Bloch coordinates financial aid services and is responsible for counseling students and parents on all parts of the financial aid process. She also supervises the campus work-study program. Buchanan-Bloch has a bachelor of arts in English from York College of Pennsylvania and nine years of experience as the financial aid coordinator at York College.

HACC-Central Pennsylvania's Community College has enrolled more than 1400 students at the Gettysburg Campus for the fall 2006 semester. A total of 18 full-time faculty members and 105 part-time adjunct instructors teach at the Gettysburg Campus.
