HACC Theatre for Young People (TYP) will present their 2006 Theatre Outreach production, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, by Joseph Robinette, Tuesday through Friday, April 25 - 28, 2006 in the Rose Lehrman Arts Center theatre on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC - Central Pennsylvania's Community College. Two public performances running 75 minutes without intermission will be presented on Saturday, April 29 at 1 and 4 pm.

Step through the wardrobe as award winning playwright Joseph Robinette faithfully recreates the wonderful world of C.S. Lewis' Narnia. Here is the heroic tale of love, faith, courage, and giving; the life and death struggle for control of Narnia and the grandeur of the triumph of good over evil which has enthralled audiences of all ages.

Directed by Brenda C. Eppley, HACC associate professor of theatre, TYP's presentation promises to be a visual delight featuring an innovative set, magical lighting, and enchanting costumes, masks and puppetry. Costume design and creation is by Paul Foltz, adjunct theatre instructor. Lighting design is by Lori Friedlander, theatre technical director. The set design/construction, by David J. Olmsted, scenic designer/production manager, will feature several sections that open and close in the style of a pop-up storybook. Masks, puppets and fanciful animal headdresses are being created by Linda Dale, puppeteer and Box Office Manager. The stage manager for the production is HACC student, Jillian Hand.

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe cast of HACC students features (in alphabetical order) Aron Agerton as Aslan, Myron Byas as Dwarf, Jamilah (Mimi) Dixon as Wood Nymph, Mark Dundore as Father Christmas, Michael Foreman as Centaur, Sean Hackman as Mr. Beaver, Ryan Hays as Edmund, Vida Joines as Wood Nymph, Josh Lebo as Elf, Sean McCormack as Peter, Jon Rooney as Ulf, Elizabeth Schiavo as Mrs. Beaver, Brandon Smiley as Forest Animal, Ada Smith-Sparling as Susan, Angela Snyder as Lucy, Tristan Stasiulis as Mr. Tumnus, Jessica Tripp as the White Witch, Fahdi Walton as Wood Nymph and Olga Zinchuk as the Unicorn.
