HACC's Harrisburg Campus, continues to offer a wide range of noncredit sessions to enrich your personal life during the cooler months ahead.

All of the sessions, unless noted otherwise, are held at the college's Harrisburg Campus, located at One HACC Drive.

  • Arts/Crafts/Music
    PMC: Silver Ring - Create your own unique silver ring in Precious Metal Clay. Previous PMC experience required for this one session offered from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3. The cost is $45.

    Maxfield Parrish - The world of artist Maxfield Parrish is discussed. Two sessions held at Over the Teacup in Camp Hill: 1:30-3:30 p.m. or 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4. Cost is $25.

    Glass Fusing, Intermediate - Create more elaborate jewelry pieces or try a fused bowl or plate. Held 6-8 p.m., Thursdays, Nov. 8-15. The cost is $35. Additional charge for glass and firing.

    Knitting 101 - Three-hour crash course teaches how to choose needle and yarn, cast-on, bind-off and basic stitches. Scheduled for 6-9 p.m., Monday, Nov. 12. Cost is $24.

    Crochet 101 - Learn about the different types of yarn, sizing a crochet hook and the different stitches. This one session will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6. Cost is $24.

  • Food and Spirits
    Making Homemade Wine - Learn how making wine can be just as simple as baking cookies. Held from 6-9 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8. Cost is $50.

    Mixology for Fun - Course is half lecture, half lab on product identification, drink classification, glassware, garnishing and art of mixology. Offered 6-9 p.m., Tuesdays, Nov. 13-27. Cost is $108.

    General Interest
    Deaf Awareness Workshop - Learn ways of communicating with the deaf/hard-of-hearing when you may not know enough sign language to get your idea across. Held 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Nov. 10. Cost is $35.

  • History
    Katherine Hepburn/Amelia Earhart - Learn more about one of Hollywood's legends and a national heroine and outstanding aviatrix. First session is full; a second session is scheduled for 8:30-10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 30 at the Cornerstone Coffeehouse in Camp Hill. Cost is $20.

    To Catch the Man in the Moon: Meade After Gettysburg - Meade is often criticized for allowing Robert E. Lee and his army to escape after the Battle of Gettysburg. Find out if these criticisms are valid. Held 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Dec. 1. Cost is $35.
