Radius, HACC gallery and museum shop features the work of Lemoyne-based textile artist Paula Musser this month.

Known for her work in reused textiles, Musser buys old sweaters and jackets, cuts them up and reassembles them into creative clothing, bags and pillows.

"Her work is unique to Radius because of its 'recycled quality,'" said Jessica Lantz, curator of arts and assistant manager, adding that recycled art has been gaining notice in the art world in recent years. "She is the only artist that we carry who does anything like that."

In addition to the work she has on display at Radius, Musser operates a retail store in Lemoyne which specializes in the handcrafted work of more than 35 local artisans.

Radius, HACC gallery and museum shop, is located on the ground floor of the State Museum of Pennsylvania, Third and North Streets. Radius is a partnership of Central Pennsylvania's Community College and the State of Pennsylvania/Pennsylvania Historical Museum Commission.

Radius is open 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, call 787-5590 or send an email to Jessica Lantz, gallery curator, below.
