HARRISBURG – The mug that holds one of the most popular drinks in the U.S. is often the most popular selling item at craft shows and galleries. The coffee mug, and it’s wide range of traditional, contemporary, functional and sculptural designs is the subject of the next Showcase Series at Radius, HACC Gallery and Museum Shop.
Pennsylvania artisans are invited to submit their crafted mugs to the Showcase Series – Cup o’ Joe at Radius, at The State Museum of Pennsylvania, which will run this September and October.
The deadline to submit digital entries is Monday, Aug. 24. Artists are limited to four entries, submitted either by e-mail or on a disk and sent in postal mail. There is no fee to enter; all work chosen for the showcase must be available for sale on consignment.
Artists whose work is chosen are responsible for delivery and return of their work.
Direct all e-mail entries to Jessica Watson, curator of arts and assistant manager, at jlwatson@hacc.edu. Disks should be addressed to Watson at 300 N. Third St., Harrisburg, PA 17120. For additional information call Radius, HACC Gallery and Museum Shop at 787-5590.
The showcases are displayed at Radius, on the ground floor of the State Museum of Pennsylvania, Third and North streets in Harrisburg.
Radius is a partnership of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, and the Pennsylvania Historical Museum Commission.
